Gorbachev Micah

Don’t you love the way kids are oblivious to their looks? Micah doesn’t care at all that his marker work gave him a temporary birthmark on his forehead.

Pastor Matt Bowles says, “Humility is forgetting about yourself.” In one sense children are the exact opposite of humble; they constantly think of themselves. But that’s mainly because they want to have fun every moment of every day. When it comes to their appearance, they’re happily unaware. They reach for cuddles even when they have food all over their faces.

We’ll be heading to the grocery store later, and even though our markers are “washable” I’m sure Micah’s head will still be slightly purple. But he won’t even notice. He’ll sit in the cart and grin at everyone like he always does. And he’ll probably brighten someone else’s day.
